Every line has a goal
Paths go from one picture to another: a rocket to its planet, a bunny to its carrot. Your child always knows where to start and where to stop, and on many pages a small arrow shows the direction.

Lines, waves, loops, shapes and mazes, one little game per page
Every path in this workbook has a job to do. Make the rain fall into the puddle, guide the fish through the waves, fly each rocket to its planet. Your child practices the lines and shapes that come before letters, with a picture at the start and a picture at the finish of every path.
Three things you will notice the first time you open it with your child.

Paths go from one picture to another: a rocket to its planet, a bunny to its carrot. Your child always knows where to start and where to stop, and on many pages a small arrow shows the direction.

The workbook starts with straight lines like falling raindrops and castle steps, then moves on to waves and loops, circles and triangles, and finally mazes. If a page feels hard, the page before it is the perfect warm-up.

Many pages end with coloring: the rainbow, the snails and flowers, the ladybugs. Once the lines are traced, the page becomes a picture your child finished on their own.
The activities are grouped by type, so your child practices one kind of stroke before moving to the next.
Up and down lines: raindrops falling into a puddle, zigzag steps that lead to a castle.
Fish swimming through the waves, rockets looping to the planets, insects flying around the garden.
Circles, starting with a clock, and triangles, starting with a slice of watermelon.
Trace the dotted paths of the bees and the butterfly, then color the rainbow.
Help the bunny find the carrot and the bear find the honey.
Spirals on snails, bees and flowers, plus ladybugs to trace, go over and color.
It is made for children ages 3 to 5 who can hold a crayon and are ready to follow a line from start to finish. Your child does not need to read: each page has a short instruction you can read aloud together.
Younger preschoolers usually start with the straight lines and waves. Older preschoolers can move faster to the loops, shapes and mazes. Every child goes at their own pace, so there is no need to finish the book in order or in a hurry.

The first pages are straight lines, the easiest stroke to start with, and many pages have a small arrow that shows which way to go. Sit with your child for the first pages and do one or two pages at a time.
